Single Well Stimulation
When introduced in a water solution
to the well and circulated. PetroLuxus™
disperses very rapidly throughout the formation and
penetrates the pores and capillaries. Its
properties cause the oil to loose attraction to all
matter to which it is connected and the oil is then
allowed to flow through existing channels to the well
bore. Tests have shown that increases in
production of 300% to 900% are typical and the treatment effects
can last for months. The treatment is relatively
simple and involves introduction of a solution of PetroLuxus™ and water to the well is left to sit for a few
days. Once production is resumed the flow will
begin to increase steadily over a period of several
weeks and then typically stabilize at the increased flow
rate compared to pre-treatment production.
Down Hold application of PetroLuxus™ can be used to treat isolated wells. Information about the well history and geology will be
discussed for the optimum approach for treatment
regarding the ratio of PetroLuxus™ and water
needed. Treatment can then be applied via
conventional equipment and the well will be shut-in for
several days, thus, allowing penetration of the
formation before production is resumed.

Water Flood Recovery
The oil
production from a water flood
is limited by geology and
trapping. PetroLuxus™
can be used to both reduce
trapping and improve sweep
efficiency. At current oil
prices this can revitalize a
field and generate substantial
profit.
As reservoir engineers know,
water is an effective fluid
for maintaining reservoir
pressure and driving oil
towards a producing well.
Thus, it is the dominant
secondary recovery technique.
However, when the water
saturation increases, oil is
trapped as capillary forces
cause the water to collect at
pore throats. Thus, the
water blocks movement of oil.
PetroLuxus™ reduces the
capillary forces through its
surfactant like qualities and
frees the trapped oil.
PetroLuxus™ assisted
flooding is ideal for fields
with small well spacing owned
by independents because the
technology enhances an
existing water flooding by
releasing the trapped oil and
is not difficult to implement.
