
PetroLuxus™, (Petro - short for petroleum and Luxus - Latin derivation of Luxate - to dislocate or dislodge) is the proprietary
base formula of the PetroLuxus™ family of products. All derivative PetroLuxus™ products maintain general characteristics but are blended for specific applications.
PetroLuxus™ is a proprietary
chemical developed by Planet Resource Recovery,
Inc. The chemical formulation is an aqueous
solution that specifically targets Hydrogen, Oxygen and
Carbon elements in relationship to hydrocarbon bearing
materials. It is a Multi-faceted chemical that
uniquely works to break the bond of hydrocarbons to any
other material to which it is attached.
PetroLuxus™
when introduced to hydrocarbon bearing
compounds, works to initiate an ionic exchange mechanism
that makes hydrocarbons hydrophobic and colloidal.
The chemical further enhances separation by reducing
friction and relieving surface tension. The
process works in most applications where it is desirable
to separate oil or hydrocarbon based materials from
water, solids, particulate matter and metals for
recovery of the components.
Further,
when in contact with oil and due to the chemical's
inherent ability to reduce the frictional coefficient, PetroLuxus™
reduces relative viscosity by the order of
several magnitudes, thus allowing viscous oil based
materials to flow more freely. Once the
circulation of the treated oil bearing material is
stopped and the mixture is allowed to remain static,
near immediate separation begins, allowing the
components such as oil, water and solids to separate by
specific gravity. Our tests have shown that the
separated oil retains its original characteristics and
is not adversely affected by treatment, water is
significantly cleaner and solids are separated for easy
collection and disposal.
The PetroLuxus™ family of
products has been developed in a variety of formulations
to achieve a range of results when used to treat natural
or manmade hydrocarbon bearing materials. PetroLuxus™ products
are efficient, safe, non-hazardous, non-flammable and
environmentally friendly.
