Ken Wolcott – V.P. Oil & Gas Operations


Ken Wolcott has spent the past twenty-six years in the petroleum industry and brings Planet Resource a broad acumen of experience and expertise. Ken received his Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming in 1985, and his Masters of Science in Petroleum Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines in 1991.

In the oilfield Wolcott has extensive experience in primary, waterflood, steamflood, gasflood and reservoir engineering, and has worked around the globe specializing in light, intermediate and heavy oil. He served as Senior Reservoir Engineer at North Slope Borough/Barrow Gas Fields in Barrow, Alaska from 1986 to 1988. He went on to work as Senior Reservoir Engineer for Stephen Dean Petroleum Consultants & Resource Technology, where stayed until 1991.

In January of 1991 through July 1997, Wolcott worked at Mobil E&P U.S. Inc., and was the Senior Reservoir Engineer for the Heavy Oil Business Unit. He moved over to Mobil Technology Company which merged with Exxon in 1999 becoming Exxon/Mobil Oil Company. Shortly after leaving Mobil E&P U.S. he hired as the Senior Staff Reservoir Engineer for Nigeria Special Projects, where he stayed until January 2002.

Prior to joining PLANET, Mr. Wolcott was the Manager of Field Development for Magnum Oil Company since August 2005. Between January 2002 and July 2005, Wolcott worked at Russian Oil conglomerate, Yukos Oil Company where he worked as Manager of Production Enhancement & Development responsible for managing and establishing production enhancement and development programs.

Mr. Wolcott will be responsible for the development and commercialization of PLANET's Oil and Gas Operations through the deployment of PetroLuxus™ products, consulting and field services management.
